I love Thursday nights. On Thursday's I get my Sports Illustrated in the mail. Yes, snail mail and yes, it's actually a magazine, not anything electronic. You see, I still love turning pages of magazines and books. I know, I know. I'm a relic.

Anyway, I'm sitting there perusing the latest on which athlete got arrested when something on the TV catches my attention. It's a commercial for Android.

Now, being the dinosaur that I am I have very little interest (OK, none) in Android or most other technology.  But the voice of the guy singing during the commercial. That voice was sure familiar.

The voice, of course, was one of our all time favorite country singer/songwriters, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He was the man behind "King of the Road," "England Swings," "Husbands and Wives" and so many more country music classics.

But wait. Roger died almost a quarter century ago. What was he doing selling new technology?

Well, it turns out the song "Robin Hood and Little John" was a song Roger did for the 1973 Walt Disney movie "Robin Hood." And it fit nicely (as you can see above) in the theme for the Android commercial.

Now, I'm not here to endorse Android, but the song does show the genius of Roger Miller.  Listen to him sing the whole song below.
