Backyard poultry production can be a valuable project for youth, teaching them about animal care, nutrition and more.

In a recent Animal Care Wednesday webinar, poultry nutrition and economics was the focus.

Backyard poultry production can also help youth learn how to balance the books. Raising poultry can teach youth about record keeping, disease management and the importance of daily observation to insure optimal health and well-being of poultry.
