Hometown Tuesday: Tommy Jack’s Pub
Some restaurants and bars opened their doors over the weekend after the Sioux Falls City Council passed the "No Mingling Ordinance" last week. So what establishment are you most likely to visit first? I'd say Tommy Jack's Pub in Downtown Sioux Falls is a great place to start.
I wouldn't be surprised if you told me Tommy Jack's Pub is kind of tough to find if you are looking for it for the first time. In fact, the local pub is hidden along East 12th Street in Sioux Falls. This secret spot is an awesome place to spend a weekend afternoon with friends. Within the four walls of this local establishment, Tommy Jack's Pub displays eye-catching art that embraces the essence of Sioux Falls.
You might recall Tommy Jack's Pub being a serious competitor during the "Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle" with its featured favorite "Censored Burger." This specialty burger, in particular, incorporated hemp incorporated in its recipe. In the five-year history of the "Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle," Tommy Jack's Pub's "Censored Burger" was one of a few local establishments that included hemp as an ingredient in one of its burger.
When the "Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle" started in January, I had the opportunity to try the "Censored Burger," this tasty burger with a truly unconventional ingredient. I loved it. The sauce gave the burger so much flavor!
Once the coronavirus diminishes in the Sioux Empire, I plan to make another stop at Tommy Jack's Pub to sample some other items on the menu. The chicken bacon wrap and the frontier burger are totally grabbing my attention!
