Hometown Tuesday: Cubby’s Sports Bar & Grill

There are so many well-known restaurants throughout the Sioux Empire.  However, you really haven't experienced South Dakota if you don't visit Cubby's Sports Bar & Grill in Brookings.

The Downtown Brookings hotspot is located right along Main Avenue.  Cubby's Sports Bar & Grill is the place to be if you're a huge Jackrabbits fan or a sports fan for that matter.  The local establishment has a top-ranked menu for all your game day needs.  Some items off of its all-star menu include jalapeno poppers, southwest nachos, basil pesto grilled cheese, and the Hall of Fame burger. Patrons can even enjoy their game day meals from an awesome rooftop patio!

After hearing about this popular "Brookings Original" for the past two years, I finally had the opportunity to check out the famous Cubby's Sports Bar & Grill.  Prior to my visit, there were a lot of people offering some suggestions regarding my meal selection.  In all honesty, I wanted to order the entire menu because everything looked so good!  When it came down to the final buzzer, I started with the Mac and Jack bites for my "starters."  The bites were definitely delectable and created great anticipation for my main event.  I ordered the chicken caesar wrap with sweet potato waffle fries and Cubby's homemade ranch dressing.  Wow!  Seriously, I have no words and that's pretty rare for me.  My meal was so delicious!  I should have ordered more Mac and Jack bites and waffles fries waffle fries with ranch to go!

Cubby's Sports Bar & Grill is truly a staple in Brookings, South Dakota.  I am already looking forward to my next visit and meal! Yum!
