Garth Brooks Hints at Live Music Project in 2018
If you didn't get a chance to see Garth Brooks on his World Tour over the last three years, you might still have the opportunity to experience some of the magic. The "Ask Me How I Know" singer reveals he hopes to have a live music project available in the near future.
"With the tour ending, a lot of the live stuff’s now coming to a boil," Brooks shared with The Boot and other reporters at a recent media event. "I think the next song, if it’s something off a record you’ve heard or if it’s brand-new, I think it’s going to be a live version, because I want to bring that energy to radio, too, as well. I love to capture what goes on onstage and get it on the radio waves."
Brooks says listening to live recordings from some of music's biggest icons helped light the musical fire in him early, and he hopes to be able to do the same for others.
"For me, it was [Peter] Frampton, that was a live record," Brooks shares. "And then of course Jackson Browne might have been one of the coolest guys that could match studio and live together."
The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, who has been touring with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, Brooks will wrap up his three-year World Tour trek with a run of shows at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena in mid-December.
