Former South Dakota Women’s Basketball Player Tempestt Wilson Heading Overseas
Former USD women’s star Tempestt Wilson is going to play basketball professionally in Europe.
Wilson has signed a contract with GDESSA, a professional team based out of Barreiro, Portugal.
During her senior year last season, Wilson averaged 13 points a game, leading USD to the Summit League Tournament Championship Game and a WBI semifinal appearance.
She was also an All-Summit League player last year.
In her three year seasons in Vermillion, Wilson averaged 10 points and 3 rebounds a game.
Tyeasha Moss from Xavier was the only American on the GDESSA roster last season. The team finished 14-10 and advanced to the Portuguese League Semifinals.
The 2013-14 season begins October 12th.
