Five Guys and Taco Johns Help One of Their Own
I know what it's like to get help when you really need it. When my wife was battling breast cancer last year we got unbelievable help from lots of places. It's so humbling, appreciated, and for most it's needed.
Steve Schwans, an area manager for Five Guys in Sioux Falls, has been battling esophageal cancer for the last two years. The company he works for is going to help him out.
If you eat at any of the two Five Guys or nine Taco Johns locations in Sioux Falls on Monday June 19, half of the money you spend will go to Schwans and his family as he battles cancer.
“Steve is one of those guys who never gives up. If you could cure cancer through sheer force of will, Steve would be cancer free already,” said Ted Miller, VP of Operations for Taco John’s and Five Guys’ of Sioux Falls and South Dakota. “We’ve watched him fight this with everything he has and we want to show Steve that we want him to keep fighting as hard as he can. We’re hoping to have a giant turnout – Sioux Falls is a community that cares for its own, which is one of the reasons we love having our restaurants here.”
