After a highly publicized controversy centered around A&E's hit show 'Duck Dynasty,' the starring and well-loved Robertson family is ready for a fresh start in 2014.

The father of the family -- Phil Robertson -- was suspended from the show after making controversial remarks about homosexuals and African-Americans in GQ magazine, but was reinstated by the network following heated protests from fans. That, in addition to the possibility of the whole family leaving the show in support of the patriarch, A&E lifted Roberston's suspension after just nine days.

Now, with the new year and a clean slate, the family is looking forward in excitement. “We’re just glad to get back to work, A&E and us are fine," Willie Robertson tells Fox News. “The Robertsons, we are looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows and it’s a new year, so we are ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.”

Adds the 'Duck Dynasty' star, "You know we are ready to move on. I think we all learned a lot and we are just ready to move on and the family is happy and we are ready to go."

His wife, Korie Robertson, reiterated her husband’s feelings, emphasizing that the show is a family affair. “The best thing about the show is we get to do it together as a family,” she explains.

And now, thanks to the lifting of the suspension, the Robertsons get to do what they do best -- star in their show together as a family.
