Digital Fun Or Digital Scam?
You've probably seen the 'Answer The Questions' posts on Facebook or some other social media place.
You know, the ones that your friends have sent just for fun. The ones I've seen look something like this:
OK, I'll play. Let's see how many answer the following and let's get to know each other.
1) What's your favorite color?
2) What's your favorite flower?
3) Remember the name of your first pet?
4) Who was your favorite teacher?
5) How many states have you visited?
6) What was that one most favorite car?
7) What's your favorite drink?
And there might be a bunch of other questions as well, just fun kind of stuff.
And then I saw a shared post that looked something like this:
1) What's your favorite color? Scammers
2) What's your favorite flower? Get
3) Remember the name of your first pet? Your
4) Who was your favorite teacher? Passwords
5) How many states have you visited? With
6) What was that one most favorite car? These
7) What's your favorite drink? Answers
Gulp. Really?
Now, it might be 100% plum innocent. It might just be fun stuff between friends. But when I saw that, I paused.
Hmmm.
Now, those that know me know I'm not a technological wizard. Heck, I'm that guy that still has a cassette player. But I thought I'd pass this along just in case.
