Darius Rucker loves Minnesota! Less than a year after playing a show here, he has announced his return but in a different way.

Over the summer, the country star performed a show in Minnesota. He headlined a show at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater, which is a few hours from the Duluth area. Now, he's coming a little bit closer.

He announced the string of tour dates early Tuesday (November 2nd), with the tour kicking off in February of next year. It kicks off just after Valentine's Day in Philadelphia and will wrap up the first of April in New Orleans.

This tour is going to work a little bit differently than other ones he has been on. Instead of playing big venues like arenas or amphitheaters, he is opting for smaller venues, likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Every show on the tour docket is at a theater and that includes the Minnesota venue. The country star will play at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, which is just a few hours from the Twin Ports.

The show will take place on Friday, March 4th of 2022. The venue is located at 910 Hennepin Avenue. Newcomer Caylee Hammack will be opening this show. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the show go on sale on the venue's website on Friday, November 5th at 10 a.m. Ticket prices range from about $40 bucks to $130 depending on where you want to sit. There are also ticket package upgrades where you can meet Darius or get a backstage tour.

This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, since a star as big as Darius usually plays shows at major arenas and big venues! If you are a big fan, this is a bucket list item.

This is one many shows that have been announced for Minnesota recently! Kenny Chesney just announced that he will be back at U.S. Bank Stadium in August of next year after years of postponing the show due to COVID-19. He also announced a big lineup change for the tour, which looks awesome.

Walker Hayes also announced a headlining tour which will take him to a venue similar to the Orpheum Theatre. The Fancy Like Tour will stop at the Palace Theater, located in St. Paul. His show will take place about a month before the Darius show.

So many concerts, so little time! We keep track of all the concerts coming to the Twin Ports and beyond with our concert calendar. It can be hard to keep track of shows like this, especially with so many cancellations and postponed shows due to the pandemic. That's why we keep track of everything for you!
