Company with Sioux Falls Stores Banned from Super Bowl Ads
GNC, the company that sells nutritional supplements, has been banned from advertising during the Super Bowl.
The company with two locations in Sioux Falls had planned on running a 30 second Super Bowl commercial. Their plans were to gear the ad toward the current image update.
The NFL won't have any part of it. The football league doesn't permit any supplement advertising during their games.
It is the first time we have heard of an advertiser being completely banned. There have been bans on certain commercials themselves, but not the advertiser as a whole.
GNC says it will take their money elsewhere.
