Black Hawk, South Dakota Man Killed in I-90 Crash
A man from Black Hawk, in western South Dakota, died Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90, in Hanson County.
The Highway Patrol says it happened around 6:50 AM near Mile Marker 346, two miles east of Alexandria.
Troopers say Derek Jay Miller, 54, of Black Hawk was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and entered the westbound lane.
His vehicle collided with a semi-tractor-trailer driven by 53-year old Marcus Wells of Fayette, Missouri.
Miller was thrown from his vehicle and died from his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The semi driver was wearing his seat belt and had minor injuries.
