When you think of 'Texas Country' a lot of names come to mind. And right there at the top of the list would be Asleep At The Wheel.

For decades fans around the world have loved the music of Asleep At The Wheel. One of those bands that's hard to fit snuggly into a musical category, call it country, country swing, western swing, Texas honky-tonk or any other phrase you like. I'll just call it 'good 'ol boy' music. It's something that, when you hear it, you have to crank it up!

Now Ray Benson, the voice of Asleep At The Wheel, is telling his story. And it sounds like it's going to be good!

(AP) - You can tell exactly what to expect from the autobiography of Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel based on the title: "Comin' Right At Ya: How A Jewish Yankee Hippie Went Country, or, The Often Outrageous History of Asleep At The Wheel." Benson promises to not only tell his life story, but how he got rock hipsters and country die-hards to love "groovy new-old Western swing." "Comin' Right At Ya" comes out October 1.
