Hundreds of Sioux Falls area heart and stroke survivors, physicians, and business and community leaders will join the American Heart Association to celebrate Heart Month.

This year there are several events that include:

February 5: Wear Red Day-Show your support for the #1 killer of women by wearing red. In addition, several South Dakota landmarks will "Go Red" on February 5, including the SD State Capitol building, the Falls of the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls, and several businesses throughout the state.

February 11: Heart Month Twitter Chat-Join the conversation on February 11 at 12:00 p.m. CST as we chat with experts about heart disease, risk factors, and important tips  everyone should know. Host @HollyHoffmanS21 will guide our chat using
#GoRedNDSD. Watch for additional details on our Twitter feed @SDakotaHeart.

February 11: The 2016 Red Dress Collection Fashion Show at The District. Doors open at 5:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at The District or at ww.siouxfallsgoredforwomen.org.

February 25: Go Red For Women Event on at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown-Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power of women banding together to wipe out heart disease, the number one killer of women. The Go Red For Women Event raises money for research and education to prevent heart disease and stroke throughout South Dakota.

The event will begin at 4:30 with a social hour, silent auction, and more. The program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude at 8:00 p.m., with a VIP reception at Elements on 8th Street.
