2019-20 South Dakota High School Basketball Preseason Media Poll

High school basketball season begins this week with the O'Gorman boys and the Lincoln girls opening as the favorites in Class AA.

The South Dakota High School Basketball Media Poll will be released each Monday at 5:00 PM. This year's preseason poll features multiple Sioux Falls metro area schools ranked in Class AA.

O'Gorman is the favorite entering the season for Class AA boys. The Knights bring back many players from last year including Augustana recruit Akoi Akoi, USF recruit Jack Cartwright, and Zach Norton. O'Gorman opens the season at home against Roosevelt on Friday (December 13) night.

Sioux Falls Lincoln also brings back most of the roster from their runner-up finish last year. That has led to the Patriots being at the top of the rankings entering this year. Lincoln is led by USD recruit Morgan Hansen, and SDSU softball recruits Emma Osmundson. Lincoln begins to play in Watertown on Friday.
