January 12, 1969. That date made Joe Namath a Superstar.

The upstart New York Jets of the American Football League had just upset the vaunted Baltimore Colts of the National Football League.  It's the biggest upset in the history of the Super Bowl.  It was Super Bowl III.

Somewhere, sometime in these days leading up to the Super Bowl, you'll see footage of a young Quarterback named Joe Namath jogging off the field at the end of the game holding up the 'Number One' finger.

Suddenly he was no longer Joe Namath.  He was 'Joe Willie Namath'.  And even more, he was 'Broadway Joe'.

And, as seen below, he was a 'Brut' man.
