You Better Save Up If You Want To Go To the Super Bowl In Minneapolis

You better make sure that your piggy bank is full if you want to attend the Super Bowl in Minneapolis.

The secondary market is going to be extremely expensive according to a report from ProFootballTalk.com.

This will be the first Super Bowl in Minneapolis since 1992 when the Washington Redskins defeated the Buffalo Bills.

That one was at the Metrodome and this one will be at the all new US Bank Stadium.

According to the report from ProFootballTalk, Vikings officials are warning fans that prices are going to be a "shock".

“We haven’t gotten the final pricing, but we know the NFL takes over the stadium, and takes over the pricing,” Vikings Executive V.P. of Public Affairs and Stadium Development Lester Bagley told the Star-Tribune. “It’s going to be some sticker shockfor sure for our market. Tickets are going to be hard to come by in terms of access, because the league takes them. They’re going to be sticker shock on prices. But it’s part of the deal when you get the Super Bowl. You get 100,000 coming into your market that support the game. Over the 10 days we’ll have 1 million people come to the market. But just for the four-day weekend for the game, we’ll get 100,000 people here. It’s a lot of the top NFL sponsors and all of teams, all 32 NFL teams are represented and the media. It’s a big production. Tickets are going to be a challenge, for sure.”

Super Bowl LII will take place on February 4th, 2018.

According to a CBS Sports report in 2017, the average price of a Super Bowl ticket in Houston was $4744.00 while it was $4000.00 per ticket in 2016 in San Fransisco.
