We lost a legend in 2013.

Ray Price was so much more than a great Country Music singer.  He's an icon, a towering figure in our Country Music world.  One of the greatest voices, one of the great song stylist's ever, no can ever replace the Cherokee Cowboy Ray Price.

So when a new song crossed my desk, it opened my eyes.  'Heartaches By The Number' is one of Ray's signature song's (he had several, that's how great he was!), and here is was again by someone named Mary Sarah and Ray Price.

OK, my first thought, I admit: Oh geez, someone is trying to make money on the Ray Price name.  Some 'digitally' recorded 'magic' using Ray's song from decades ago...

So I investigated.  Who was this Mary Sarah singing with Ray Price??

Well, as it turns out, Mary Sarah is the 'Real Country Deal'!  Just 18 years old, she's worked extensively with the Oak Ridge Boys and yes, Ray Price loved her voice and talent and recorded with her.

Hey, if Ray loved her work, so do I!

Here's some of Mary Sarah's talent, singing 'All I Need' from her album 'Crazy Good'.

Want more good news about this exciting new Country talent?  She's apparently working on a project that includes Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Lynn Anderson, Tanya Tucker, Vince Gill, Ronnie Milsap and others due out in May.

Uh....Mary Sarah....I Can't wait!

For those of us that love Classic Country Music, it is such a breath of fresh air to hear 'new' artist's that keep it country.  Teea Goans comes to mind, Branch and Dean, Clinton Gregory has been keeping it country for years.....and now....
