Country Music great Jack Greene had a hit on his hands (and his lips, I suppose!).  The year was 1966 and his 'There Goes My Everything' was a big hit.  No it was more than that, it was a smash that would become his signature song, along with one of the greatest songs recorded by anyone in country music...ever.

After spending seven weeks atop the country music chart in 1966, the single went on to become the 'Single of the Year' at the very first CMA Awards in 1967.  Oh, Jack also won 'Album of the Year' and 'Male Vocalist of the Year'.

Yep, no doubt about it.  1966 turned out to be a very good year for Jack Greene...and for country fans everywhere.
