What is the world coming to? I've been on this inhabited planet for 54 years.

Over time I expected changes. In a lot of cases I looked forward to them, always anxious to see what would come next.

Somewhere along the way, the rate at which the changes happened increased to an almost overwhelming rate. And now it seems like the new things that are appearing are, in some cases, almost scary.

Here's the latest that has prompted me to bring you this story. A self driving semi truck, yes, self driving, has delivered a load of beer.

Anheuser-Busch says it has completed the world's first commercial shipment by a self driving truck, sending a beer-filled tractor-trailer on a journey of more than 120 miles through Colorado.

According to Anheuser-Busch.com the company says it teamed with self driving truck maker, Otto, and the state of Colorado. The trailer, loaded with Budweiser beer, began the self driving trip in Fort Collins, Colorado, and ran along Interstate 25 through Denver before wrapping up in Colorado Springs.

A professional truck driver was in the vehicle for the entire route, monitoring the delivery from the sleeper berth as the truck completed the route entirely on its own without any driver intervention.
