Will Jeff Foxworthy Visit South Dakota’s Most Redneck Town?
'You might be a redneck if...'
Guess who's coming to town? The 2019 Sioux Empire Fair will welcome Jeff Foxworthy to the Campbell's Main Stage on Friday, August 9th
So the question becomes, what is a redneck... really?
Well according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary: “A white person who lives in a small town or in the country especially in the southern U.S., who typically has a working-class job, and who is seen by others as being uneducated and having opinions and attitudes that are offensive.”
But wait! The folks at roadsnacks.net decided to add something, what they call stereotypes.
So while South Dakota is not considered truly 'southern,' the folks at the website decided to rank each state's 10 most redneck cities and here's who were, uh, honored to make the list in South Dakota.
After analyzing all cities with a decent amount of people in them, they came up with this list as The Most Redneck Cities in South Dakota.
- Yankton
- Mitchell
- Sturgis
- Edgemont
- Spearfish
- Custer
- Hot Springs
- Flandreau
- Chamberlain
- Volga
Agree? Disagree? Check out how they came up these ten South Dakota towns here.
