The Sioux Falls Fire Rescue team and Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken welcomed the New Year in a daring stunt you have to see!

Everyone is familiar with dropping a giant, bright ball in Times Square to welcome the new year. But how about a mayor literally dropping from a fire station to ring in 2025? Well, Sioux Falls Mayor Paul and members of the Sioux Falls Fire Rescue crew showed this can be done!

Just seconds before the clock hit midnight to begin 2025, Mayor Paul TenHaken wore a harness and gracefully dropped into one of the Sioux Falls Fire Rescue fire stations. That's not all. He was dressed as a firefighter with twinkling Christmas lights like he was the big New Year's Eve ball. He was the New Year's Eve ball of Sioux Falls!

Mayor TenHaken was the special guest in this year's New Year's celebration message from the Sioux Falls Fire Rescue. Knowing that Mayor Paul loves adventure, he was more than happy to be part of the Sioux Falls New Year's action.
