MOBRDIGE, S.D. (AP) — A meat shop in Mobridge was destroyed by fire over the weekend.

The American News reports the fire at West Side Meats occurred late Saturday afternoon. Police spokesman Tom Strickland says the two employees inside got out safely.

People in surrounding buildings were evacuated, but no other structures were damaged.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.

It was the second fire in Mobridge in a week. A blaze on Jan. 9 gutted a building housing a clothing store and an apartment. No one was hurt. Investigators are still looking into the cause.
