Watch This Raccoon’s Reaction When His Food Disappears (Video)

Raccoons love food, everyone knows that. It's really their defining characteristic. Well, that and the fact that they look like robbers with masks on, and are the dumpster diving champions of the animal kingdom.

In this viral video that has more than 2 million views on YouTube, a domesticated raccoon is living the high life. He has a big bowl full of delicious grapes (raccoons are omnivores and eat both meat and plants) and seems to be taking his time to savor each juicy bite. Just as he's tilting his head back, enjoying one of the grapes, a person grabs the rest of the fruit from the bowl, without the raccoon's knowledge.

When the raccoon goes back in for another grape, to his astonishment, they're all gone! He looks around, lifts the bowl up to look underneath, and then begins to rub his tiny hands together before his owner gives in and hands him another tasty grape.

It was a fun little prank but also goes to show how adorable these creatures can be. Most people see raccoons as nothing more than pests, but they are some of the smartest and most resourceful animals on planet earth.
