The beloved 1970s television show Little House on the Prairie is currently available on Amazon Prime, which makes now the perfect time to revisit the classic series.

The program is set in the 1870s and follows the life of the Ingalls family, Charles, Caroline, Mary, Laura, and Carrie, who live their lives on a farm in Minnesota.

The show is based on the original books by Laura Ingalls Wilder about her family, who lived in the American Midwest, including stints in Wisconsin, Kansas, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Missouri, during the late 19th century.

The Emmy Award-winning television series aired on NBC from 1974 to 1983. It stars Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls, Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls, Karen Grassle as Caroline Ingalls, Rachel Lindsay Greenbush and Sidney Greenbush as Carrie Ingalls, and Melissa Sue Anderson as Mary Ingalls.
