Usain Bolt Somehow Ate 1,000 Chicken McNuggets During 2012 Olympics in Worst Diet Ever
World’s fastest man Usain Bolt couldn’t eat Chicken McNuggets fast enough during the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The Jamaican sprinter admits in his new autobiography, ‘Faster Than Lightning,’ that he ate 1,000 McNuggets during the 10 days the Olympics were held in Beijing.
At first I ate a box of 20 for lunch, then another for dinner. The next day I had two boxes for breakfast, one for lunch and then another couple in the evening. I even grabbed some fries and an apple pie to go with it.”
Bolt found himself partaking in the funky fried diet because he thought Chinese food was “odd.”
Here’s the disturbing math that will blow your mind, if not your digestive system: each box of 20 nuggets is 940 calories, totaling 4,700 calories each day and a stunning 47,000 calories for the entire time Bolt was in the city. As he wrote, “Man, I should have gotten a gold medal for all that chowing down.”
Fortunately for him, his performance was unaffected – he won three gold medals and is so fast he probably burned all the calories off during his warm-ups.
