It may seem like a long way from Hackleburg, Alabama to the very top of Country Music. But that's the trip that James Loden took.

Oh, if you've been a country music fan for the past 50 plus years or so, you've loved the music of James Loden.  In fact, I'll bet you've sung along with James when he sang 'Young Love', a tune that topped not only the country chart but the pop music chart as well. I mean, that song was all over the radio!

But that, of course, was only the beginning. Our James here, well he scored 16 number one hits in a row! That's right, from 1967 to 1971 James never missed the pinnacle of the country music singles chart.

He ended up with 26 number one hits. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1961, and was elected to the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame.

So you see, you loved James Loden all along....but you knew him as country music legend Sonny James.

James...I mean, Sonny...passed away in February, 2016 at the age of 87. But those classic's? They'll never die.
