Turner County Cancels 2020 Fair

It seems like 2020 has been nothing more than a huge list of cancellations. Many of theevents on the list are those who many look forward to year after year. Sadly, we have another one to pass along today. According to the Turner County Fair's Facebook page;

It is with great regret that we inform you the 2020 Turner Co. Fair is canceled. This decision was not taken lightly. After extensive consideration on the safety precautions we would need to take to follow CDC guidelines, the Turner Co. Fair Board made the decision to cancel. Your health and safety as well as the safety of our volunteers is our number one priority. Preparations have already begun on how to celebrate the 140th Turner Co. Fair, August 16-19, 2021. We will see you there!

You can only imagine how hard it was to have another group of small-town supporters, getting together, and having to make a difficult decision like this. The sign says it all. The best four days of summer. For many in the area, it has and will be again. Next Year. The races, the livestock, the entertainment, and the rides all look to be taking a year off from the Turner County Fair.
