The last time a sitting President came to South Dakota was President Trump at the Mount Rushmore fireworks show in July 2020. If President Trump does attend the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, he would be the first-ever President to attend.

Will President Trump Attend the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally?

Although President Trump or his team haven't confirmed an appearance at the rally, it appears this could happen.

US South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds sent a formal invitation to President Trump to attend the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. He shared the letter on a Facebook post.

Senator Mike Rounds joined the conversation after the founder and CEO of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Rod Woodruff, expressed interest in President Trump attending the major rally. In his letter to President Trump, Senator Rounds says the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is something every "red-blooded American should witness."

“South Dakota is Trump Country. We’d love to introduce you on stage during one of our premier concerts, in front of tens of thousands of fans and we’re thoroughly convinced you’ll be impressed with the reception.”
