A judge has delayed a murder trial for a Box Elder woman accused of killing a man because of the volume of evidence the prosecution and defense need to review.

Twenty-three-year-old Kelly Croyle has pleaded not guilty to shooting 49-year-old Dickey Mashek in the head last September during an argument at his home.

Authorities say Croyle confessed to deliberately pulling the trigger. Croyle maintains she acted in self-defense.

Her trial has been moved from March to August. It is scheduled to begin Aug. 19.
