Top Five Suburbs to Live in the Sioux Falls Area
Sioux Falls and its surrounding area have seen tremendous growth in recent years. As a result, many of the city's suburbs are thriving economically and socially.
Niche recently released its list of the best suburbs in the Sioux Falls Metro for 2023, and while some of these towns are pretty obvious, one notable suburb is missing entirely.
5) Dell Rapids (Overall Niche Grade B+)

4) Harrisburg (Overall Niche Grade B+)

In my opinion, Luverne isn't exactly a Sioux Falls suburb, nor has it ever been. But regardless, here's what Niche has to say about Luverne:
Living in Luverne offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Luverne there are a lot of parks. Many retirees live in Luverne and residents tend to be conservative. The public schools in Luverne are above average.
1) Brandon (Overall Niche Grade A)
What Niche Says About Brandon: Brandon is in Minnehaha County and is one of the best places to live in South Dakota. Living in Brandon offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Many families and young professionals live in Brandon and residents tend to be conservative. The public schools in Brandon are highly rated.
One notable omission from the list is the town of Hartford. In fact, Hartford isn't even listed in the top ten. This seems to be more of an oversight than anything else, as Hartford is by and large one of the best Sioux Falls' suburbs to live and raise a family.
