2017 South Dakota One-Act Play Festival Takes Place in Aberdeen
Student actors from all across the state will be gathering in Aberdeen starting on Thursday at the Johnson Fine Arts Center at Northern State University to take part in the 61st annual South Dakota High School One-Act Play Festival.
The event is sponsored by the South Dakota High School Activities Association. 44 South Dakota schools theatre productions will perform their play for the public and a panel of three judges.
The first performance of the state festival will be Rosholt High School beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday morning, Feb. 2, 2017. Sioux Falls metro schools will also be performing. Their set times are:
Thursday February 2
- 8:15 PM: Sioux Falls Lincoln presents: The Mummy
Friday February 3
- 6:45 PM: Sioux Falls Washington presents: The Fairest Flower of the South or To Know Her is To Love Her
- 7:30 PM: Sioux Falls Christian presents: Bridal Terrorism
- 9:00 PM: Brandon Valley presents: A Life in Five Acts
Saturday February 4
- 11:45 AM: Harrisburg presents: Anne of Green Gables
- 2:15 PM: Sioux Falls O'Groman presents: What We Saw
