Taylor Swift’s Testimony in Groping Trial Could Have Ended With a Mic Drop
Taylor Swift's testimony in the groping trial taking place in Denver, Colo., this week was clear, consistent and resolute. Tweets from reporters inside the courtroom reveal that the singer didn't hesitate or second guess what she says happened to her, and who did it.
Swift emphatically pointed out radio DJ David Mueller as the man who reached beneath her skirt, grabbed her butt and held on during a meet and greet photo opportunity at the Pepsi Center in June of 2013. Mueller would later be fired by his radio station, and he says he didn't do it. A jury will ultimately decide which of their separate cases is more believable and if evidence is enough to decide a legal winner or loser.
Again and again Swift stated, in detail, her version of the events. "He had a handful of my ass ... I know it was him," KDVR's Amanda Zitzman tweeted Swift as saying.

When asked about Mueller being fired, several reporters, including BuzzFeed's Claudia Rosenbaum, reported the star's response as: "I am not going to allow your my client to make me feel like it is anyway my fault because it isn’t."
On Wednesday (Aug. 9), Swift's mother, Andrea, testified, providing a similar account. Mueller himself has also testified, but he offered a very different version of events. He said he only touched the singer's ribcage.
"Taylor Swift testifies that Mueller 'appeared to show signs of someone who had a few cocktails,'" tweets Michael Konopasek with KDVR.
Swift's legal team declined to cross-examine the country-turned-pop star. Throughout the testimony she was unwavering and at times annoyed, according to firsthand accounts. The entire testimony lasted about one hour, according to several reporters in the room.
