Suspicious Sioux Falls Man Arrested for DWI. Tried to Get 12-Year-Old Girl Into Car.

A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday night in Sioux Falls after the vehicle he was driving drew attention for a different reason.

Police officer Sam Clemens says a 12-year-old girl was outside in the 1300 block of North Spring Avenue around 6:30pm when a man drove up. Clemens says the man seemed to be trying to get the girl to go with him:

Then around 8:30pm, Clemens says the vehicle was located a few blocks away and the driver was arrested on a DWI charge. He was identified as 23-year-old Bhakta Rai of Sioux Falls.

Clemens says no charges were filed in connection with the Spring Avenue incident.
