The list continues to grow for South Dakota businesses closing their doors permanently. It's a harsh reality some local business owners are facing today.
Barbeque Twist in Aberdeen, South Dakota, was known for creating mouth-watering smoked barbecue meals, accompanied by one of its refreshing 50 beers on tap. It was one of the best local spots in Brown County.

Owners of the Barbeque Twist posted a heartfelt and honest post on their Facebook page about the "decision that was not made lightly" to close down.
Why did the Barbeque Twist in Aberdeen, South Dakota suddenly close?
The circumstances behind this sudden announcement are unclear. But unfortunately, owners explain they would have needed a "miracle that could save our (their) beloved establishment."
"This decision was not made lightly, as we had hoped for a miracle that could save our beloved establishment. Unfortunately, that hope did not materialize. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all our loyal customers and supporters who have stood by us throughout this journey. Your encouragement and patronage meant the world to us. While this chapter is closing, the memories and friendships we’ve built will last a lifetime. Thank you once again for being a part of our story. We appreciate each and every one of you."
Loyal patrons of the beloved Barbeque Twist are sad but grateful for the wonderful memories they have shared.
