A store employee working at a business near 10th street and Sycamore Avenue in Sioux Falls was pepper sprayed by an alleged shoplifter on Friday, December 16 (2016).

KSFY TV is reporting the incident took place around 3:30 that afternoon, when the employee suspected the customer was attempting to shoplift items from the store.

The employee began to follow the man around the store to keep an eye on him, causing the suspect to leave the store. Once he did, the employee followed the suspect outside to see where he went.
