Local Sioux Falls Business Saves Helpless Abandoned Baby Possums
A Sioux Falls tattoo shop had a wild and unexpected surprise last week.
Staff at Vishnu Bunny and Piercing in Sioux Falls can officially add animal rescuers to their resumes. Some baby possums are living their best life thanks to the efforts of Vishnu Bunny and Piercing and a local wildlife rescue.

In a Facebook post from Vishnu Bunny and Piercing, a young possum family called the tattoo shop home. They found the new mom "deep window well behind the shop." The Animal Control helped mom out, but didn't realize that her babies were in her pouch!
The babies fell out of the pouch, and mom didn't notice. The sad part is that it's not unusual that possum moms don't come back for their babies once they are out of the pouch. Luckily, these babies were in good hands!
A momma opossum made her way to a deep window well behind the shop. Animal control helped her out but in the process, some babies fell from her pouch. We then learned that the Mommas dont know that they dropped babies and therefore they dont come back for them.
We contacted Deanna at @keepinitwildwildliferescue and she changed her route for the day and drove over an hour to come save them. We cannot thank her enough for not only what she did for these babies but for all she does for animals in general. If you feel inclined, go donate to the rescue to ensure that not only these little cuties get some help but that the others do too!
Keepin It Wild Wildlife Rescue is out of Jefferson, South Dakota and they're all about "rehabilitates animals and promotes wildlife conservation." They went out of their way to help these little guys! The good news? They're doing great!
Way to go, everyone! Thank you for taking the time to help these helpless animals
