Our news partners at Dakota News Now are reporting the suspect robbed the Get-N-Go convenience store on 12th Street and West Avenue just before 5 AM on Saturday morning, November 30th. It's located near the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.
During the regular media briefing, Public Information Officer Sam Clemens Sioux Falls Police Department explained the details of the armed robbery. It was a pretty quick process.
The suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk, took cash and left. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made

This isn't the first time an armed robbery has occurred in Sioux Falls. In the recent crime report from the Sioux Falls Police Department, there has been a slight uptick in crimes.
Violent crime is at 5.88 per 1,000 people, dipping from 6.21 in 2023, while property crime rates sit at 39.93 per 1,000 people, that's about a full-point increase over 2023. Other statistics regarding crime show that aggravated assaults are down by 52 instances while domestic assaults are up by 29. Robbery burglaries are down while thefts are up.
