Truly, this precious angel is a "bundle of joy!" This is the first snow leopard born at the Sioux Falls Great Plains Zoo & Butterfly House & Aquarium in 21 years! Staff are extremely proud of parents Denali and Strut.
Asha was officially born at the Great Plains Zoo in the early morning hours of Friday, May 23rd. Sioux Falls has been waiting patiently to see the newest member of this zoo pack.
When Will Sioux Falls Finally See Asha at the Great Plains Zoo?
After spending time getting familiar with her new home and wonderful family, Asha, along with mom Denali, will be out on exhibit as early as today (Monday)!
Right now, Denali and Asha will be out for everyone to see at the Great Plains Zoo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Keep in mind: Mom and baby are still adjusting to their new life. So there might be times when they decide to hide for the day at the Great Plains Zoo.
We’re so excited to see what’s ahead for this sweet girl!
Asha and Denali are scheduled to go out on exhibit Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. While they take their time getting used to their new space, they may choose to stay behind the scenes.
Sioux Falls already loves Asha so much! Congratulations to everyone at the Great Plains Zoo!
