Just Moved To Sioux Falls? Join Local Group To Find New Friends
When you move into a new city like Sioux Falls, it can be hard to make friends right away. Now, there's a local group in town specifically created to find friends.
Club Social 605 is designed to help new Sioux Falls residents in their twenties and early thirties find their latest 605 friends.

In an exclusive interview with our friends at Pigeon 605, founders of Club Social 605, Rachel Spinks and her partner, Trevor Sinclair, started the newest group about six months ago.
Why Was Club Social 605 Started?
When Rachel and Trevor moved to Sioux Falls for Rachel's first marketing job, she realized that it's not super easy to make friends in your twenties.
“There’s this unnecessary pressure that comes with it. You never want to be the first one to reach out or come on too strong. You can meet people at the bar or at church, but I felt like it never took a step further informing actual organic connection. It’s just really hard to make friends, and it shouldn’t be.”
What Is Club Social 605 All About?
To be part of this group, simply attend any of the group gatherings. There's no pressure, and you can meet people at your own pace. Activities include dinners, game nights, Burger Battle spots, yoga classes, and sporting events.
“Given research on mental health and loneliness, finding connection is more important than ever. My whole hope is to create a space where we alleviate the pressure of making plans, and it’s just show up and meet people who want to meet you and have friends. It’s so lonely to sit at home on a Friday night when I want to go out and have fun, but I don’t know anyone.”
As a Sioux Falls transplant myself, I believe this group is beneficial for many young adults.
