Did you get a year-end bonus from your employer? We if you worked for Myrl & Roy's Paving in Sioux Falls you did.

Myrl & Roy's Paving is the area's leading asphalt paving contractor, servicing Sioux Falls South Dakota and the surrounding area with asphalt & aggregates. And according to KSFY TV Myrl & Roy's Paving gave its workers $10 million in bonuses for the holidays.

The cash bonuses ranged from $5,000 to $400,000 depending on the length of employment and job duties. One of the owners, Sue Unzelman, says they wanted to thank the employees for their hard work and loyalty.

Unzelman and her siblings are selling the second-generation company to L.G. Everist, a rock mining company with pits and quarries in the region.

As it says on their website “Myrl & Roy's Paving began over five decades ago with a $500 dump truck, a rake, a shovel and two determined young individuals. Myrl Unzelman and Roy H. Schultz had been working in road construction when they took a chance and started their own paving company. Scraping together what they could, they bought some used equipment and literally went door-to-door selling asphalt driveways in the Sioux Falls area.”
