Thursday night into Friday will signal more changes as a surge of cold Arctic air builds in which has prompted us to declare Friday as a First Alert Weather Day due to the cold temperatures remaining below zero all day long over most of our area. Morning lows will be in the teens to approaching 20 below zero with some wind chills getting into the 30s and 40s below zero potentially. As a result of these dangerous cold temperatures, Extreme Cold Warnings and Cold Weather Advisories have already been put in place for Thursday night into Friday. Frostbite can happen quickly to exposed skin so please limit your time outside to end this work week!
