Normally, in downtown Sioux Falls for the past nine years, a popular bar has hosted a lively summer Block Party. Unfortunately, it looks like this annual celebration will not be happening any time soon.

Wileys in Sioux Falls is known for being "the spot" in town for all your big moments. This local hotspot has also hosted the Downtown Block Party for almost ten years. But now officials with Wileys say they don't have plans to have the neighborhood block party.

In a shocking Facebook post late last week, officials with Wileys wanted to share some news about the bar and block party. The team at Wileys has gone through new management changes, and after a "thoughtful decision," they are putting the party "on hold this year."

Some would say that Wileys is turning the page and starting a new chapter in their story. Wileys is hoping their new journey can be something that everyone can enjoy.

Instead, we're focusing our time and energy on upgrades and improvements that we can’t wait to share with you. These changes are all part of our commitment to creating an even better experience for our guests—and they’ll be revealed very soon.

It's unclear what the plan going forward will be for Wileys. But the staff at the Sioux Falls bar promise that they "have some big things coming."
