Rapid City, South Dakota Teenager Shows Power On ‘The Voice’
It feels like Sioux Empire singers are getting a lot of national attention lately. Now, a 17-year-old South Dakota singer is having her chance in the spotlight.
Bijou Belle of Rapid City, South Dakota, brought her "power" vocals to the new season of NBC's The Voice.

There must be something in the Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota waters because there's talent hiding in every town, big or small! Bijou Belle might be one of these hidden South Dakota diamonds in the rough.
The Rapid City native had a mission to shock Voice Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levin, and John Legend in her Blind Audition. She brought her own twist to Billie Eilish's "WILDFLOWER." The good news? The coaches admired her risk!
She might be young, but this South Dakota gal is ready to learn!
"You have just so much room to grow. That's what's cool about your voice. It's still developing, so that's exciting."
So Did The Voice Coaches Pick Bijou Belle of South Dakota?
She did get one chair to turn! Adam Levine of Maroon 5 turned right away for Bijou Belle to be part of his team. Since he was part of the show for a long time, Bijou is excited to be part of Team Adam. As for Adam, he loves working with young talent
"Finding out that you're young and all that, it's like when I was 17, and I was 'pitchy.' It's part of the discovery of your voice and how to control it....You have to have room to grow, and I think that what's really great about your voice is when you started singing, you really captured my attention with your tone. It sounded, really, really beautiful."
When Can I Watch Bijou Belle on Season 29 Battle of Champions of NBC's 'The Voice'?
You can see South Dakota's own Bijou Belle on KDLT Mondays at 8 PM.
