The Class AA girls basketball tournament starts in two weeks and the first four teams have punched their tickets.

Sioux Falls O'Gorman has clinched a spot for the tournament in Rapid City after a 50-38 win over District 1 top seed Roosevelt at the Rough Rider gym. O'Gorman was led by Sebastian Akoi's 20 points. O'Gorman will enter the tournament with a 11-11 overall record.

Harrisburg is celebrating their first Class AA Girls District 2 Championship. After defeating Washington 65-56 on Monday night, the Tigers turned around with another impressive performance defeating Brandon Valley 50-44. Harrisburg is 21-1 overall after tonight, and they will be the top overall seed at the state tournament.

The defending Class AA Champions will have a chance to defend their title in Rapid City. Aberdeen Central won District 3 after beating Pierre 67-58. The Golden Eagles will be looking for their second overall championship in Class AA.

After splitting the season series, it seemed like it was a given that Rapid City Central and Rapid City Stevens would play for the right to go to the tournament. That was the case. Stevens will make the 4.4 mile trip to the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center after a win over Rapid City Central 52-45.

3rd/4th place games were also played on Thursday night for the opportunity to get one last shot at a chance to go to the state tournament.
