I've written before about how I don't believe in making New Year's resolutions.

They just aren't worth it to me.

First, it seems to me that anyone who makes a resolution to start a new year is going to break it anyway. Sooner or later, those good intentions will go by the boards, and the person who made the resolution feels guilty or less-than-worthy, and who needs that?

Besides, if something is worth making a resolution over, make it anytime. You don't need a new year or even some arbitrary day to get you started down a better path.

Make your resolution any time of the year--the first of a month, your birthday, the first Tuesday we've had all week. Use your imagination! Get creative!

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying there aren't things I could improve on. Far from it, believe me. In fact, how much time do you have?

So no resolutions for me, even if I could use them.

Shoot, it will take me until March or April to write "2015" on checks.
