New Sioux Falls Drybar Shockingly Closes Abruptly-But Why?

The salon known as the Drybar just opened locations in Sioux Falls and Rapid City in the fall of 2023. In Sioux Falls, the storefront was located at 4123 West 41st Street. That’s right inside the Empire Place next to the Empire Mall.

Out of the blue, the Drybar locations in Sioux Falls and Rapid City announced they were closing their doors. This shocking announcement came without warning.

In a heartbreaking Facebook post, officials with Sioux Falls Drybar explain to their loyal customers the sudden closure is due to "unforeseen circumstances."

Sioux Falls Drybar was only open for about 7 months. Drybar is refunding any membership benefits and assured customers they can use their gift cards at any Drybar location:

All memberships have been cancelled and any membership fees processed in April are being refunded. The franchisor is working to sell the shops so that they reopen soon. In the meantime, gift cards and saved member benefits can be used at Drybar shops across the country. Our teams had a lot of fun serving up great hair and mimosas and we’ll cherish the memories!

It's sad to see a business close so quickly in Sioux Falls. With this surprising announcement, some Sioux Empire residents are disappointed and confused. It's understandable. But the Drybar is so grateful to all its South Dakota customers!
