New Bill Introduced to Add Trump to South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore

Will President Donald Trump Be Added To Mount Rushmore?
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna announced the measure on Tuesday stating "Let's Get Carving."
President Trump’s bold leadership and steadfast dedication to America’s greatness have cemented his place in history. Mount Rushmore, a timeless symbol of our nation’s freedom and strength, deserves to reflect his towering legacy—a legacy further solidified by the powerful start to his second term,” said Congresswoman Luna. “He will be forever remembered among the great like Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt

This isn't the first time President Trump's name has been brought up regarding Mount Rushmore. According to Newsweek, back in 2020, Trump's office denied reports that his team had reached out to then-South Dakota Governor, Kristi Noem about the idea.
If passed, the carving of Trump would be added alongside those of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. No carvings have been added to the monument since it was originally constructed and debuted to the public back in 1941.
