A new bike trail spur is completed on the north side of Sioux Falls.

This trail spur that goes into Elmwood Park gives access to the many park amenities. It also offers up a new park and ride location.

If you love riding the quieter north end of the bike trail like I do, this will be a great spot to park and ride out near the airport, put on some good miles while not encountering a ton of walking traffic that is more common on the south end of the loop.

The city spent $580,000 on bike trail improvements this year. The trail from Tuthill Park to Tomar Park is currently torn up for repaving. That project is supposed to be completed late this fall.
