New B&G Milkyway Shop Opening In Small South Dakota Town Soon
Good news South Dakota B&G Milkyway fans! The iconic ice cream spot is expanding! But this new location will not be in Sioux Falls.
Officials with B&G Milkyway made an exciting Facebook post about a new location that will be opening soon in a small South Dakota town located 70 miles away from Sioux Falls.

B&G Milkyway will be opening a storefront this spring in the town of...Mitchell! Soon this town will be home to "The World's Only Corn Palace" and B&G Milkyway! This will be the tenth B&G Milkyway in the Sioux Empire.
The old-fashioned South Dakota drive-in opened in 1954 on West 12th Street in Sioux Falls originally known as "The Milky Way." In the mid-1960s, the owner sold the establishment to Bertha and Guy Higgins. Since then, B&G Milkyway has only grown!
Their menu has a variety of treats to choose from, like dipped cones, avalanches, malts, and more! B&G Milkyway also offers food if you want to have dinner before dessert. Some food listed on the menu include footlongs, chili cheese nachos, and pizza burgers. I'm getting excited just thinking about the delicious ice cream and of course...warmer weather!
So when will the new B&G Milkyway in Mitchell be open along with all the locations? Officials with B&G Milkyway haven't announced any opening dates yet. But B&G Milkyway officials say dates will be announced "soon." Until then, young adults are encouraged to apply for summer jobs with B&G Milkyway at any of their locations. Click here to learn more.
